Outstanding Participant Leadership Summit: Deadline: Aug. 4

The First Tee Outstanding Participant Leadership Summit will be held during The First Tee Network Meeting for 28 participants. The First Tee home office will collect all applications. After all eligible applications are reviewed by the judging panel, 28 semifinalists will be determined. The eight finalists for The Outstanding Participant Award will be identified from this pool. A separate judging panel, comprised of chapter executive directors, program directors, board members, national trustees, sponsors, alumnus and home office staff members, will be assembled to review the applications from the eight finalists and select two winners. The two winners will be determined and will each receive a $20,000 scholarship to be used at college or university of the winner’s choice. The remaining six finalists will receive a one-time $2,500 scholarship. All semifinalist will be asked to work with their chapter to identify a service project that will benefit their chapter and community and build out their service project over the course of the summit. The names of the two winners will be announced during the gala dinner at the Network Meeting.

Applications will require participants to submit essays, activities chart and a chapter letter of recommendation.

The First Tee Alumni Summit: Deadline: Aug. 4


The First Tee Alumni Summit is a professional development opportunity where you can advance your career-building skills while reconnecting with fellow alumni and chapter leaders across The First Tee Network

Throughout the event, you will hear from industry leaders on topics such as public speaking, business communication, financial literacy, professional branding, and self-care. You will also have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to current participants of The First Tee attending the Outstanding Participant & Leadership Summit.

Selection Process and Application

A maximum of 14 alumni will be selected based on their application score which will include a resume, activities chart, four typed short essays, a letter of recommendation (from The First Tee network), and a letter of recommendation (outside of The First Tee network).

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or above to be considered for this opportunity
  • Entered in The First Tee participant database at a minimum of Birdie level
